Hey
there!
This
'about us' has been created to inform you a little bit about the prefects and
the reason for the blog.
The
prefects are a small team of students from sixth form who are chosen by
teachers and ex-prefects. These students have more authority than the rest of
the student body, as they require being more responsible, well behaved and
respectful. The prefects have a major role in the school, such as being a voice and a support system for the students and
supporting the teachers in enforcing school rules that need to be followed and
assisting in every day school to help to keep a good learning environment which
works for all.
There are a few reasons for this blog; it is a place where the prefects
can:
- · Interact with each other and have any discussions they wish to have
- · Have a place to share their information with other members of the school (teachers, students, parents, etc.)
- · Keep a record of the previous prefects within BGE
- · Keep a record of previous events prefects have been a part of
Often when our prefects are assigned duties
the head boy/girl will be informed by the teachers and will then have to pass
the message around. There have been times when some members of the prefects
team have not been aware of some duties due to issues through communication. On
prior events the prefects have either been verbally informed or have been
informed over FaceBook causing problems such as miscommunication or prefects
forgetting.
Not only is this page for the prefects but
it is also for the members of our school so that they can also keep up with
what the prefects are doing. Through this blog the prefects hope that the
parents, students and teachers can be up to date with the prefects.
Thanks for visiting the BGE Prefects blog!
